Ksu

So I plan on moving to Atlanta after I graduate and take my boards in GA (I attend school in SC now) and am hoping to finish up my Bachelors in GA. I've heard how hard it is to get into KSU but does anyone know if people are having better luck for the RN-BSN option? I don't want to stay in my homestate any longer than I have to and I really want to finish up my bachelors (I only lack three general ed requirments, and then the NUR courses for BSN). I Know a lot of people say that Emory gives you a better chance but my gpa was only 3.4 so I'm not sure if I'll have any luck of getting into either program. TIA

I got into Emory with a GPA about the same as yours. KSU is hard to get into for the regular program because it essentially ranks its applicants by GPA before it reads their essays etc. So they can fill their classes with all 3.9s or better (which they have). Emory takes your application as an entire package and looks at everything, not just GPA. Good luck! Also look at Georgia State University (in downtown ATL), Brenau University (in Gainseville, GA but with a satellite campus in Atlanta), and Clayton State University (it just south of Atlanta in Morrow, GA, but I think most of their RN-BSN is online).
