don't know what to do with my career!

Hi all, I am an ADN RN for the last 3 years, I work 4 days a month on a med surg floor and like it, wouldn't say I love it but I never mind going to work. I am 28 and have 3 young kids, 5 1/2, 2 1/2 and 9 months. Sometimes I just feel like I don't know what I'm doing with my life, what I want, stay home with the kids, go back to school and if I do that for what? RN to BSN RN to MSN? How do you think it would affect my kids if I were to go back to school? Does it suck a ton of time away from them, I wonder how it would affect me if I didn't. I'm so confused! If I don't go now, I wonder if in the future it's going to become difficult to get into graduate programs. I'd appreciate anyones thoughts, how it might stifle my career if I don't go soon or how it would be fine if I went later???I'm not interested in on line programs, I like to go to class. Thanks for anyones thoughts!! So, to sum it up when I'm at home I feel like this is where I want to be and when I'm at work I feel like that's what I want to focus on!

Well, if you like your job, why do you need to go back to school for a BSN? You are doing what you like now, right? Besides, you can work many positions without a BSN...

Sounds like you like going to school... Well, why not something that will enhance your position as an RN? Learn Spanish. I know there are many Spanish-speaking folks up your way (former Michigander, me).

Find out what other areas in your hospital need more support and go for it. There's something there I am sure.
