Kendall Regional STARN Program

There's one starting in February.

I was wondering if anything is/has been part of the program.

I know it's a two year contract.

I have a few questions:

1. Am I bound to the floor I get in for those two years?

2. How much is the pay?

3. How many classes do we have? How many times a week? For how long?

4. What happens if x event (moving, personal issue, etc) comes up, and we break contract?

That's all I could think of right now.

I have a meeting for more information on Thursday.

Thank you.

This is what i got from the meeting:

1. 2 year contract

2. the contract doesnt begin until after your 3 months of training

3. you get paid 15/hr during your 13 weeks of training (lady wasnt too fond of answering questions so i was not able to get info about pay being raised after training was over)

4. classes for 6 weeks, monday through friday, from 9 to 5 (nursing school all over again!)

5. during those 6 weeks, no hospital floor experience, just classes.

6. after 6 months (after training) you are able to transfer to a different unit if you are not happy with where you currently are

7. (i wasnt able to ask how much we would have to pay back if contract is broken)

I will be starting the StaRN program next month, but I will be at Westside Regional hospital.

1. How did you like the program??

2. Any tips during the program??

About to start the program next week.

Any tips??

Anybody have tips for this program? I start in November.
