Keiser ASN program

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi, I am considering applying to Keiser in Sarasota florida and wanted to know if there were any current nursing students going through there program? I am currently going to SCF but do to the high volume of qualified applicants am having a hard time getting accepted. Is keiser good about taking credits from other schools? What are their class schedules like? Are they Monday-friday traditional or are they flexable? Is it cheaper if you have more of your AA classes done before you go there?

Hi I also went to SCF where I finished my AA. I was attempting to go to USF because I wanted to do a bachelors program but it was way to competitive to get in. I looked into Keiser in Sarasota because they have a fast track BSN which is full time for 16 months. They accepted all of my transfer credits from SCF with no issues. They have multiple options though for nursing programs however they are very expensive (over 9k a semester). To my knowledge, all of them are Monday through Friday and very strict on attendance. They have good clinical sites (Sarasota memorial, Lakewood ranch, All Children's) which tells you their students are well regarded because many other private schools in the area have poor clinical sites. I have an orientation this Friday but whatever questions you have I can help you cuz I was in your same place at SCF when trying to choose a nursing program route!

Yes I have applied 2 to SCF and didn't get in. I applied to keiser and am on the waiting list for January start. I am going to apply to SCF one more time and if I don't get in again, I am going to keiser. I really want to go to SCF North Port campus because it's close to my house and it is a really good school, but ever since they took away the teas test it is super competitive.
