Kaplan/Saunders Book

I have just started the Kaplan course and also have the Saunders book. To be honest, I feel a bit overwhelmed with all of the material. I want to make sure I succeed and I have great motivation, but I don't want to overload my brain. Does anyone have any advice on how to go about studying? How long did you spend on comprehension (reviewing) vs. answering NCLEX style questions?

Does anyone have a good link for pharm. meds frequently asked?

I truly appreciate your help, it means so much!!

What do you think of the online Kaplan review course so far?

I also subscribed to it for 8 weeks & I'm feeling very overwhelmed by it. For 3 days I was reviewing with it, but today I couldn't deal with Kaplan. I went back to my Saunders book & CD-rom.

i have only been to one kaplan course so far. i am doing the classes. we only had the diagnostic test so far, so i'm waiting for my results. our next class is tuesday, so i will definitely have a better idea by then. i will let you know :)

how are you using saunders? are you reading the chapters or just using the cd?

At this very moment I am using the CD-rom. But, to be honest, I used both during this semester when studying for my school tests. It seemed to help because I did exceptionally well on my exams. Even scored a 100% on one!! :-)

Like I said in my earlier post, what I've seen on Kaplan's online review course is overwhelming. I talked to a friend of mine who graduated last year & took the in-class Kaplan course, and she said the questions are at a higher level of critical thinking than what the NCLEX requires. I don't know if anyone else who has taken the NCLEX exam & Kaplan review course agrees with that statement, but that's what she said. And she passed on the first attempt with only 75 questions.

Are you going to be taking the NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-PN? I'm going to be taking NCLEX-PN.
