Kansas and MO Nurses

I need some advise. I want to become a RN but can't decide which school to go to. I heard that Penn Valley MO is a really good nursing school but there are a lot of people who have to be on a waiting list to get into the program. I heard about National American University NAU which you could get your RN degree in 2 years, but it cost about $30k.

Have anyone in here graduated from NAU and how good is the school?

I know nothing about the schools you mention. However, I would like to advise you to try to not go into too much debt for your education.

I suggest you go the Associate degree route at a junior or community college, as it is the least expensive route. Yes, you'll be on a waiting list for the school of Nursing. However, while you wait, you can be taking your English, Psychology, Sociology, and maybe some other liberal arts courses, whatever is required, right at the same college. Check with an advisor to see what is required.

Your employer, once you are an RN, can pay for your BSN and any further schooling you choose to obtain.

There might be schools that offer the BSN as inexpensively as the AD so do check this out. I'm not so up to date on this info. I just hate to see you pile up debt, which you will have to pay back with interest. Nurses don't make that much money so be careful.:mortarboard: :nurse: :jester: :monkeydance: :wink2: :blushkiss
