Just a question about ADN...

So I’m planning on taking my associates and I was wondering how long does it take to get an associates in your areas?

For me, it takes about 4 years even as a full time student....btw I live in this neighborhood in LA

I live in Tennessee and my prerequisites took 1 year to complete and I have just been accepted to my ADN program, and its going to take me 2 years to complete. For most schools in the US an ADN program is 1 year of prereqs and the actual program is 2 years, and the BSN is 2 yrs prereqs and 2 yrs for the actual program.

I realize this is almost 2 months old, but I will answer anyway...

It depends on the school. For my ADN program, the actual prerequisites take just one semester to complete. However, there are other required non-nursing classes that you can take either before you start the program or while you're in it. The ADN program takes 4 semesters. The previous school I went to had a BSN program (tried, didn't make it in, changed majors, got different degree). You spend 1 year on prerequisites, and the actual program is 3 years long. But, similar to the ADN program at my current school, those 3 years include other required non-nursing classes.

I've heard these more often than what I said though.
