Job Shadowing

Published

Hi, I am a brand new at dialysis. I have a job shadowing tomorrow and I would love to get some tips from experienced nurses here.

It is a 2 hour shadowing and I want to do well. I mean, I know I am not expected to do anything but observe..I like to make a good impression. I already looked around the clinic and I liked it.

I've done a job shadowing once, not in dialysis, I felt sorry to keep asking questions while I follow the nurse and after an hour I was bored. haha I don't think I will be bored this time I really want to be hired in this clinic.

Thank you in advance for helping me!

How did it go? I job shadow this week and wasn't sure what questions I should ask. Did you get hired?

I am sorry, I just checked your reply. I believe you already had job shadowing last week. When I was in clinic, I asked my nurse how long she has been working there. Other nurses near us jumped into our conversation and I realized many of them has been working for last up to 10 year, which tells me there is something good in this clinic. It made me more desperate to be hired. lol I also asked how a typical day goes, how you become interested in this field,,I was nervous at first but soon I felt comfortable being in the clinic and got along with other staff and some patients as well. Two hours of job shadowing felt short to me. After all, I am hired now and tomorrow is my first day! I cannot wait! How was your job shadowing? Hope you met nice staff to work with. That is most important, isnt it?
