Job Satisfaction

For the RNs...

Do you enjoy working in Indy?? I am in Phoenix and I want to move. Seattle was my first choice, but I am learning that they treat nurses horribly. I am almost afraid to even try it out! How do you feel about your jobs?

PS I work in the NICU.

That's funny. You sure you wanna move here??? It's rediculously hot. That's 95% of why I am leaving!!

You might not like it much here. LOL!!

The weather changes every 5 minutes. For instance....last week it was 70. The past few days, it's been in the low 30s. Thursday it's supposed to be 72.

I'm going out---of---my---mind!!!!!

haha. I am actually from MD. I am guessing your climate is about the same, with a greater chance of more snow in the winter. I am used to the weather being like that! I am SO sick of the 5 month long 110 plus degree summers here in AZ. I want to be able to enjoy my summers...go outside. It's been 85 and up since the end of February, and it is already too hot to go outside in the afternoons here.

I'm obviously not a nurse (yet) but my mom attended IUPUI back in the 80s and worked at St Vincent for YEARS in the CICU. She loved it and is home health care now, but she has always had something good to say about the hospitals around here. She has recommended that I eventually try at St Vincent as well.
