J-o-b!

1st off Howdy! hehe :wink2:

Okay so I'm possibly moving to TX next year & I want to start exploring my options as a nurse. I'm currently working in a LEVEL 3 NICU & would like to work in a Level 3 NICU when I move. Thinking that I'm possibly moving around Fort Worth area. Know of any Level 3 NICU's around the area, requirements for the job, & recommended hospitals?

Thanks!

Howdy to you as well!

You have quite a few options in Ft. Worth. I will list them:

Cook Children's: large Level III that does surgery, ECMO, etc.... (It's a major referral center)

Harris Methodist: large Level III that has a very busy NICU and the hospital is connected to Cook Children's so surgeries, ECMO, would go across the street.

Baylor All Saints: has a large brand new Level III that is opening next month. They just built a nice Women's Tower and they are expecting to take some of the business away from Harris Methodist.

John Peter Smith: County Hospital with a medium to large size Level III. Not sure if they do surgeries, but I don't think they do.

Those are really the major hospitals and NICU's in Ft. Worth. I'm pretty sure that all of them are probably hiring. I would think if you have at least one year of experience in a level III NICU you shouldn't have a problem getting hired.

As far as reputation goes I think they all have fairly good reputations. You would just have to check them out and see what fits for you.

Good luck!!
