Ivy Tech students

I was wondering if anyone would like to share what your total points are/were for one of the RN programs. I just took my TEAS yesterday and scored well (89.4) and have A's in all the prereq's. I am contemplating taking the TEAS again. I did poorly in the science portion (66.7) and know I can do better. I am curious how many points everyone else has? I believe I have 212 out of 223. Is it going to be worth it for me to retake the TEAS to maybe get 2 extra points? Or should I just stick with this one? I am applying to Gary and Valpo campuses.

Thanks,

Marci

Hi Marci,

I am in your exact same situation. I mean ' same'...have all A's and got an 89.4 on the TEAS (second time I took it).I did poorly in the science portion just as you did.I have not been able to find anyone who has been accepted and can tell me what their score was. You hear a lot of conflicting information . I have decided to retake the TEAS for the third time. Since ivy tech takes the highest score it won't hurt to take it again. This time I will concentrate on studying science.. It is just added security, One point can make the difference whether you are accepted or not.:nurse: I am applying to the Indy and Anderson campuses too..

I have decided to retake it also. Like you said they take the highest score, so it can't hurt. That's crazy that we have the exact same numbers! The campuses that I am applying to don't seem to be as competitive as the rest of the state. One advisor did tell me that last semester someone got in with A's and B's, and a 76 on TEAS. That information gives me a little bit of comfort, but again every semester is different. Good luck to you! Keep me posted on how you do the second time around and whether you get in or not.
