IUPUI ABSN 2014

I was accepted! I'm so excited to get started. I have a good friend already in the program who started this past Spring, too, and she's been an amazing resource for information. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Does anyone know what textbooks we will actually need? Any insider info from your friends in the program would be awesome. Definitely trying to avoid spending a thousand bucks on that package they mention in the acceptance packet. Anxious to get things rollin' here pretty soon.

Someone posted on another thread not to purchase the hard copy books, but I'm not sure if she meant that we should instead buy the electronic bundle. I usually wait to see what I need on the first day of classes, but I'm worried it would be too late! It is a lot to spend on books, but I guess if we are using them throughout the entirety of the program, it's relatively cheap. Hopefully we will find out more during orientation. Has anyone purchased scrubs yet? I called the IUPUI B&N, but they were out of my size. She said they were ordering more soon.

Also, will anyone be commuting from Bloomington? :)

I bought my scrub bottoms, but they were out of my size for tops. They said they'd call me when they got them in, but that was almost a month ago, so I may just go to Scrubs & Beyond. I feel like I've waited so long to get started, taking prereqs, waiting to hear back about my application, etc., so I'm getting really antsy! Is everyone going to the induction ceremony?

Did you talk to Jonie at the IUPUI B&N? I spoke to her at the end of June and she said she would call when they got my size in, but I should call mid July if I hadn't heard back. I spoke to her last week and they had gotten some in, but she hadn't embroidered the tops yet. She also said they run out of smalls pretty quick. I would definitely call and see if they can hold some back for you, I did since I'm driving from Bloomington to get them haha! Yes, I plan on going to the Induction Ceremony! I believe that email said we will need to wear our scrubs for the event. I sure hope we all have some to wear haha. :)

Haha, agreed. I finally did go to Scrubs and Beyond, and they're waiting to get them back from wherever they send them to be embroidered. I also don't get notifications when more is added to this thread, and I keep forgetting to check it. It's almost go time!

Hi All! I just applied for the Spring 2015 class. Would you all mind informing me of your gpa? I have a 3.71 and am wondering if it's good enough to get in. Thanks.
