Is there any way to get into a practitioner program with only an associate's?

Hi I'm a first time poster but google usually sends me here when I search for nurse related questions so I figured you all could help me out. I will be entering nursing school next year pending the results of my dosage calc test on valentine's day. It is definitely the field that I want to be in. I have been a tech in an ER for about 18 months and I love it. Long term I would like to become a midlevel provider either as an NP or PA. The program I am entering is just for an associate's but it is my best shot of getting into a program any time soon! An NP at my work had told me that there are NP programs that will take you with just an associate's degree. I wasn't sure if I understood her right because she said to avoid having to get my doctorate I would just have to be enrolled in an NP program before 2015. Are there any programs out there that would be condensed and could bridge you from just an RN to BSN and NP all in one program? I tried googling but couldn't find anything like that.

Thanks for any help,

Andrew
