Is it very difficult to transfer to the BSN program in UM-Flint?

U.S.A. Michigan

I'm now studying in UM-Flint as an international student, and I decide to change my major to Nursing which I will be more interested in. Besides, I have several transfer credits.

Could someone tell me is it really hard to do it?

And what can I do first?

Well I don't go to UofM flint or know anything about the program but in taking 2 minutes to look at their website I can tell you what to do first.

It looks like you need to apply to University of Michigan-Flint School of Health Professions and Studies Pre-Nursing program and are then eligible to speak to an adviser though I would try to talk to an adviser now.

You need to take some prerequisite courses.... Enroll in anatomy and physiology 1 and then the following semester enroll in A and P 2. You should take their basic microbiology class and the chemistry class they want you to take if you have already not taken any of these classes.

It looks like you need to apply in January to get in for fall so if you wanted to get in for next fall you'd have this summer and fall semester to get those prerequisites done. If you don't want to take summer classes to get your pre reqs done you probably won't be able to apply for fall you'd have to wait for winter.

The nursing department should be able to answer any of your questions and tell you about their admit rates, what kind of GPA you may need to get in, create a plan for you that lets you know what classes you should take when etc etc

I just thought I'd try to help you out a little since no one else had replied yet. The nursing department would be your best resource for information.
