IR nurse

hi all, i'm new here and am looking for advise. i've only been a rn for a year, did icu for 6 months and i've been in ir for 6 months and i just don't feel like i've found my nitch yet. i'm feeling discouraged, i don't hate my job but was hoping for more. i'm now thinking about oncology, i did a rotation in school and really liked it.

thanks

IR Nurse,

If you can, try to identify what is missing for you in your current job and that may lead you to where you want to be. If you liked oncology though then that might be your answer. Many nurses take awhile to find their niche in nursing and there is nothing wrong with transferring to a unit that seems to be a better fit for you. Good luck! :nurse:
