Interview help

I need advice. I am a new grad and had my first phone interview for a company that I did 100 hours of clinicals. My preceptor is my referral and now has a higher up job then when I was with her. I love her and really would love to be her coworker. She even told the manager that would be hiring me to keep a eye out for me. Anyhow. The recruiter said he would move me through the interview process despite my license not being in place. They apparently don't do that and he said he would email some information. He thought it takes a month or more to get the license in place. I sent a follow a thank you email. And left a phone message 3 days after my interview saying that my license was in place. He asked me to let him know. He was out of the office that Friday-Monday. I left another message today 10 days after the interview bc I had a question but he is again out of the office thurs-sun and back in the office Monday. He still hasn't said anything to me or sent me the email information. Is it safe to say there is no hope. My referral said she had to be persistent with him bc he is not very efficient.

Can your referral provide you with direction? She likely knows the processes and people involved better than we do.

From my experience, you need to keep badgering them if you really want the job. It certainly has helped me. Especially if the recruiter has been out of office lately and probably has a lot of stuff to catch up on. Don't get weird about it though. Best of luck!
