Insight into programs?

Hi,

I am applying to the following programs for the fall of '09:

Mayo Clinic

Georgetown

Kaiser

VCU

UNC-Charlotte

Can anyone give me insight into any of these programs? What to expect, strengths/weaknesses, recommend or not? Is there anything special about any of these programs and/or the students they are looking to recruit?

Thanks!

Hi! I'm still in the application process, too, so I can't be very helpful, but I thought I'd mention that if you search the Pre-CRNA forum for "Mayo" there are a lot of threads there. One in particular is called something like "Why Mayo CRNA Program isn't top ranked" and has a lot of information. Keep in mind, though, that most of the posts on that thread are from almost 4 years ago. I know a CRNA who went there and loved it. Sorry I can't be of more help with the other schools.

I have heard bad things about Georgetown and I've seen them accept individuals that I would never let touch me in the OR. The CRNAs I've talked to have said bad things about it and how the people coming from there are not as good as the ones coming from VCU. Also Georgetown accepts alot more than they can fit into their program and will start letting people go when they feel they will not do good on boards.
