Thank y'all for any information y'all provide! :)

Sorry nobody has replied to you yet...and welcome to the site! I am fairly new myself.
I don't know everything about Houston area programs, but ill give my 2 cents! Hope it helps.
I was accepted to the upcoming LVN program and Lone Star College-Kingwood. As with all Lone Star College affiliates (Kingwood, Montgomery, Cy-Fair, Tomball and North Harris) the program is 1 year long, after you have completed your prerequisites. Depending on how well you do with math, english, history, etc. you may be able to test out of them completely in which case, the only class you will have to take before you can apply is Intro to A&P, which is Biology 2404. Make an A in that class, and then take the HESI A2 entrance exam. Do well on the HESI as well and apply and you will be in.
If you are considering applying for an LVN program anywhere, anytime within the next 6 months to a year, I would suggest going to get your Hepatitis B vaccination series started and completed ASAP. Lone Star college requires it to be completed before you can be accepted and it is a 3-6 month process getting the shots. Not sure what the exact requirements are for the others schools.
The other colleges, that I know of, are San Jacinto and University of Houston. From what I hear Lone Star is the best of the 3. I haven't heard a great deal, but from what I have heard San Jac is the easiest, but you will not gain as much knowledge about your field graduating from here. Conversely, U of H is by far, the most difficult. The professors are stricter, the material more in depth and the professors will not get to know you and work with you on a personal level, whatsoever.
Really, the decision lies with what your personal situation is, being that you can work around the faults and benefits of any school you choose. Depending on your work hours, family hours, etc. one may be perfect and the others out of the question. I LOVE the Lone Star College system and have seen not only my mother and sister make it through in the last 8 years or so, but also my neighbor, his wife and his son. They ALL sing the praises of Lone Star.
What side of town are you located on? Start there!
And because this is so long, and a bit boring, here is physically articulate pediatric patient.
