Infertility NP

It’s my dream to become a Nurse Practitioner, specializing in infertility. I applied to an institution (my alma mater and also a school that hangs their hat on innovation) with a pretty solid application package. I was not even granted an interview and the school would not provide me with any insight of what I can do to become a more competitive applicant. I met all application requirements. I emailed Admissions and the individual(s) that sent out my rejection letter as well as my follow up rejection letter. They could and would not provide me with any information.

I joined ASRM and have taken the Basic Infertility Course, and the 9 other single subject courses as well. I’m currently in the second module of the Nurse Certificate course. I can only work part time or per diem as I have small children and a spouse that is out of state for work 4-5days a week. PT and PRN employment is nearly impossible to find. I would work for free at this point! Currently I am working Per Diem as a PACU nurse.

I am am more than happy for any advice or guidance. I plan on reapplying as well to a few more programs as well.

Thanks in advance!
