I'm so lost I need some help I guess.

Now maybe this is the right spot to post this. I really don't know.

I would really like to go school to become a nurse. I went to college for like half a semester when I graduated from high school, but it was only one class. Anyway now I would like to get back in to school so I could become a nurse. My question is this, If a community college offers a program for nursing am I able to sign up for it or what?

Here's the program i was looking at. http://catalog.actx.edu/preview_program.php?catoid=5&poid=814&bc=1

Most schools are so competitive that you need to have the general education done before applying, even if they don't require it. The best way to find out though is to make an appointment to speak with an advisor. They should know the requirements better than anyone.

Good luck at AC! My mom would love for me to go to school there (she lives in Sunray), but we're down here in muggy ol' Houston.

Thank you for the help. That's totally what I want to know and I plan on speaking with them(adviser) sometime in the next week or so.

I second that - talk to the advisor. At my school they whip out this sheet of all the pre-reqs and will walk you through what you need for those. Sometimes they will give you tips on shortcuts, like skipping a lower level class and going right into the meatier stuff if you have high enough scores on entrance exams.

Good luck!

Your school catalog doesn't give you much information. Which is kind of weird. Most schools at least give you a brief overview of their admissions process. I would be in shock if you could just sign up for the nursing classes. It is probably a competitive process. But as the other two posters mentioned, you're only find out this information if you speak to a nursing advisor.

Good luck!

Thanks, and I kind of thought that too.

I was planning on speaking to them sometime this week (adviser), but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

Anyway thanks for the great advice everyone. I've been sorry worried about wanting to sign up.
