I need your help!

Hi! I am a LPN Instructor and we are actively reviewing for the state boards. I feel like I do the same thing for review every year and would like your input on new and innovative ways to review. Please give me any advice you may have. Thanks, SHull

I have several review "games" that I have made over the years based on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, The $100,000 Pyramid, Jeopardy, and Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader.

The students have written questions for me (and they write some hard questions!) so I have a huge question pool for each.

We have also had a review "Carnival" with different booths set up for different sections - Once I did the Fluid and Electrolyte Balloon Toss Booth. They threw the dart and either had to answser the question under the balloon that they hit (and they had to keep throwing until they hit it or I just popped on for them) or perform the procedure under the balloon - I had checking a specific gravity, reading a urine dip, inserting a foley, and placing an NG.

If they missed the question I gave them a copy of that question, and they had to keep going until they got one right. If they couldn't do the procedure I gave them a slip stating they needed to practice in the lab. Within that week they had to bring the lab slip signed by the instructional specialist or written answers to their missed question.

We gave out prizes and "tickets" - the student with the most tickets got to hit the faculty member of their choice in the face with a chocolate pie!

It is a lot of work but it is so fun for the faculty and students. If you would like more examples of Fair booths you can PM me.
