How to transition from CNA to RN

Hello everyone,

Ok Ok I KNOW I just passed, but my head is WHIRLING with questions.

I have worked in my current hospital for 6 months as a CNA and have had the priviledge of knowing both CNA's and RN's and how they work. Now I am questioning how best to make the transition from CNA to RN. I know about delegation and all, and especially about how to respect the CNA position because I WAS THERE!

Does anyone have any suggestions, real life experiences, how- to, etc to share and give me pointers?

I would suggest not working as an RN on the unit you currently work on (if possible). I would try to get transfered to another unit where you may know people but never were their peer as a CNA. It is a very hard transition for some to handle (both CNA and RN). I depends on who you work with. You know them best and can probably determine how they will handle it. If you think they may not take you seriously, then transfer.
