I live in southwest Florida and I am looking to do a career change to become an RN. I haven't began any pre-req classes yet but I am in the process of applying to Hillsborough community college. I was wondering how much of the RN program can be completed by doing the LPN program? I was advised from a nurse I know to become an LPN first because its easier to get into an LPN to RN bridge program then directly into an RN program. I want to make the most of my study/class time so I don't want to spend any time going off in the wrong direction when my goal is to become an RN (and then perhaps BSN).
Thanks,
Eric
