How long to complete ISU phase III?

Published

I've tried to search and see if anyone has commented on this topic, but I haven't found much of an answer. I know that there are many factors into the completion time for each individual student, but I just wanted to know personally how long it has taken for different students. So, how long did it take YOU or other students that you know that have completed the program?

yES I would like to know too!!! How long does it take to complete Phase III????

phase #'s are a tcn concept. i believe you are asking: how long will it take to graduate once you have passed all your prerequisites, passed the challenge exams, and passed the general ed courses?

answer: it all determines. if you have a previous bachelors, you will take no additional gen ed courses.

where you will affect the time in the program and to graduate. want to get through faster, do not live in calif. the calif bon has mandated that only one clinical class can be taken a semester. there are 6 clinical classes. if you are in another state, there is no such mandate. you may be able to take two clinical classes a semester but remember with the clinical class there is also the didactic portion.

there are non-clinical classes, also, and no one knows whether isu dl program will offer summer classes. another thing that adds time to the program is starting the first semester and the next semester you do nothing while isu arranges for the mental health clinical site and all the paperwork is signed. this is a good time to outline the book and start studying for the next semester.

the isu lpn/bsn program will always be longer than a lpn/adn program because you are taking additional classes to obtain your bsn. normally, it takes 9 mo to a year to finish the 4 or 5 additional didactic & clinical classes a licensed adn rn must take to obtain the bsn.

if you have specific questions, call the nursing distant learning dept at isu.
