How involved??

I am starting CRNA school on Jan. 3rd. I have been receiving some textbooks and got a disc with the first few lectures of our Pharmacology class which we take with medical residents in their second yr. My question is how involved was your letures on the cellular level as for as drug makeup and effect on body? This has always been a hard topic for me to grasp....any hints?? Happy holidays and I love this board and surf it daily...started Jonesing this AM as it was down for a while.

Cellular basis for pharmacology, physiology, and pathophysiology is the foundation for knowing why and how drugs and the body works. You must understand completely, and have a working knowledge of these concepts. You will study them ad nauseum while in anesthesia school and you must learn them to succeed in school. It is probably one ot the things that separates those who make it through school and those who do not. Good luck!! You can do it!!!
