How do you become certified?

I started a radiography program a couple years ago, but moved and was unable to finish. Since then I became an LPN, but I am wondering now if any certification programs exist for radiography, sonography etc. that I may be able to do without doing a 2 year associates degree program. I already have a general associates in science and arts. Is there a shortened program for health professionals or anything? I've been searching but had no luck. I live in Ann Arbor, MI. Thanks!

Ultrasound has methods which require 1-2 years OJT training

ARDMS has pathways for OJT

CCI look at the certification handbook

http://www.cci-online.org/

All of the ARRT post primary certifications require specific baseline certifications so hard to get from scratch technically you could get ultrasound OJT from ARDMS then ARRT MRI post primary but that is a long way to go.

MRI also has another certification board but ARRT is wider recognized, but this only requires 1000 hours

If you become a RN you can do the radiology RN cert as well.

Nuclear Medicine has a pathway for OJT but this requires 4 years experience plus specific credentials and is going away very soon

With 3 years experience you can be a dosimetrist

Bone density

you can try http://www.iscd.org/ it is not accepted in all states
