Housekeepers?

does anyone else have to clean/disinfect stretchers, haul dirty laundry or clean pt bathrooms? we have no housekeeper in our ambulatory surgery center so our administrator is making us PACU RN's do it! we will be "written up" for not following her order. we do 50-60 cases a day-with only 3 RN's! i'm a professional nurse-not a housekeeper-and i'm angry! what to do?

we have to clean stretchers and make sure the trash doesn't overflow but no we don't do toilets

OMG that's alot of volume for only 3 RN's!

i work in a PACU where we have 6 RN's and 3 LVN's and 2 CNA's and our voume is anywhere from 15-25...

oh and we have housekeepers. no patient bathrooms in the PACU. they have to wait until they are out of Phase I...bedpan or urinal is only option. but i can count on one hand how many times i have had to give one.
