I just found out that i need to take the TEAS test on the next available date which is Nov. 5th and that is excatly a week away. Only subject im not great at is math. I do need to brush up on science but should be fine. Which study guide is better.. Kaplan or Mcgraw hill? I am so nervous i feel like i'm going to barf! Oh and to add to my nervousness i only get to take it ONCE!! :crying2: So not much room for screw ups!! I'm serisouly a bag of nerves. Any help or advice would be appreciated. I posted a similar thread on the student forum but didnt get any responses and i need to get a study guide ASAP! Thanks. :)

There are numerous threads about the Teas already on the student forum, so just do a little searching and you'll find a wealth of information. Make sure you get the ATI TEAS study guide itself and work through that, then if you have time supplement with Kaplan or McGraw. (Make sure you get the right version study guide! There are version 3, 4, and 5). Personally, I only had 8 days to study and I used the ATI study guide and did well. You can do it!

I honestly did not study for the TEAS exam and got a high score. A lot of the questions are basic. You just need to know how to manage your time, work through the questions and read them carefully, not make rushed/stupid mistakes, and try to complete the test portion fast enough so you can double check your answers. If you are confident in your basic math, science, and English skills (as you should be before you enter nursing school), then you should do great. If you need a study guide, the best one is probably the one they offer you when you sign up for the exam. Good luck to you.

Kaplan. I used it and not very thoroughly three months before my exam, didn't even review it -- just went and got 87%

Reason -- actual TEASE is a lot more simple than Kaplan study guide. Get it, read it and don't stress

I used the ATI testing book and it worked great! No sense in getting worked up...its just like any test. You need to make sure that you are studying before you take this test. The areas that seemed hardest for me were the math and science....so just look over those two sections thoroughly and you will do fine!
