help with scenerio math

pt ordered 20mg lasix iv push stat . i have a vial 20mg/2ml to be given . reccomended rate is 40mg/2ml over 2 minutes. so how fast do i give it? I need confidence in my answer so what is the correct time frame?then she is ordered 13mg nitro po on hand is 6.5 mg time release. so how long is the time release going to last? I know these sound stupid but i am returning to nursing and what i remember of reality is not textbook answers. thank you for any help and explanation

Folks might be more willing to share answers if you walked through what you think the answers are and how you got there. That way folks can either confirm your answers....or help you see where you went sideways.

Alright I will venture out to with fear of being stupid. what i honestly think what i would do and why I would give the mg push over two minutes time b/c of the volume. I see no reason to slam more in at a time than that. I can't mentally justify it faster. as for the other-nitro I would give 2 every 8 hours as the time release can be given every 6-8 hours . so that is what I would do but is that the right thinking? what as i not seeing if i am wrong?
