Help me please

I am planning on becoming a nurse. As soon as I can afford it I am going to be taking classes. But I just found out about something that a friend of mine was diagnosed with and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with what it is. He told me it was Pnemothorax. So any thing you can give me I would really appreciate it.

A pneumothorax is collection of air or gas in the space surrounding the lungs.
