help with gre retake

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what I should do. I just took the GRE and my overall score was 970 (both verbal and math were about even). I am expecting to do well on the essay portion. I am currently a nurse with 3 yrs experience in MICU and did an accelerated program for BS to BSN. I have a masters degree in social work (I worked in that field for about six years). Should I retake the GRE to get above 1000? The scores seem so close, will it make that much of a difference? Thank you all so much for your feedback!

some schools seem to use the GRE to help make a decision while others do not even require it. A 970 is close, call the school and ask how important it is with your overall GPA/experience, etc. lots of luck!
