These may not be "mind blowing" but I asked practical questions at my interviews. These are some that were suggested to me from CRNA's: What is your attrition rate? What is your rate for passing boards? Will I be sharing cases with other students? What kind of experience will I get with regional anesthesia? Will I be performing peripheral nerve blocks? How many clinical experiences can I expect during the program? Will I be competing with residents for cases? Are any classes graded on a curve (all of your classmates should be outstanding)? With which course do most students struggle? What kind of preparatory work do you suggest before beginning the program?
I believe Kaiser should have good answers to these q's as I asked a few of them during my "counseling session". Congrats on getting an interview...many nurses and very few schools here on the west coast.
PS: I Shadowed a graduate of Kaiser who encouraged me to indicate that I was born knowing I wanted to be a CRNA as they cannot afford many dropouts and to indicate that I would be willing to put in the miles in the LA area as students rotate through Kaiser sites in the greater LA area which means a lot of time commuting.
Good Luck!!!
