Helene Fuld

Hey everyone :) I'm hoping someone could help me out with a question I have about Helene Fuld Nursing School. I went to Eastern Suffolk BOCES - I started in high school and finished the program last March. I tested and got my LPN license in August, I didn't start looking for a job right away because I was interested in starting school to get my RN license as soon as possible. I've been looking for a very long time and it's been so much harder to find an LPN to RN program than I thought it would be. I've found tons of them in all different states - but when I've been calling them they keep asking me about the credits I have and I'm not sure I even have credits through BOCES......so they are telling me I will pretty much just have to start over again and enter a 4 year RN program :( So now I am looking at Helene Fuld, it seems to be the only school that will accept the credits so I feel like it might be a good idea since the program is only 18 months. However, I was just on their website and it said that their graduates are awarded with an Associates degree in Applied Science. . . .but I would need to go on for my Bachelor's degree after that, so my question is - for those who have completed this program or looked into it - once I finish this program and have my Associate's, will another college accept these credits from Helene Fuld and let me go on for my Bachelor's? I'm skeptical about all these programs because I feel like I may have spent a year and a half getting my LPN license and now I might not be able to find a program to go to for my RN :(

and as far as online programs, I was really trying to stay away from them - I like being in a classroom setting.

Thanks for trying to help me :) Amy

HI, I currently attend Helene Fuld and so far so good. Helene Fuld is a college and not just a vocational school. They are NYS and NLN accredited. They also articulate to several BSN programs NYU to name one. I have spoken with someone from NYU and was told that they accept all of Helene Fuld's credits. They program is intense and you have to work hard and stay on to of your business. Some people complain but they are not spoon feeding you. You have to put the work in or your grades will suffer. I'm not sure when but Helene Fuld is also trying to become a BSN program. Also did you look into Adelphi the have a program LPN to BSN that accepts some credits. Good luck

Hi Amy, I myself just graduated from Eastern Suffolk Boces and recently passed my boards. I am considering applying to Helene Fuld. I got an 85 or better on all of my classes so I hope I would be accepted should I apply. I have been looking into other programs as you have and was wondering what route you took. Did you end up attending Helene Fuld? If not where? Did you like the program you went to? Any tips would be welcome. Thanks for your help.
