Hello,
Just wondering if anyone one here is an alumni or current nursing student at GCCC in Panama City, FL? I moved to PC a yr and a half ago and started working on my pre-req's to get into the ADN program at GCCC. So far, I have completed A&P I & II (w/ Labs), Developmental Psych, Nutrition, Eng Comp, Humanities, and General Psych. The only other classes I need to take, which actually can be taken while in nursing school (if I get accepted) are Microbiology and Sociology. I am going to CLEP Sociology next month so when I put in my application in this Sept, the only class I will be lacking is Microbio and the Microbio lab. I'm just wondering what anyone thinks my chances are for getting accepted. I applied back in Feb and only had A&P I, Eng, Humanities, and Gen. Psych completed and did not get accepted, but I am wondering (and crossing my fingers!) that having some more classes completed will give me an edge. My nursing advisor told me I would have a better chance this time around w/ more classes under my belt, but pulling any kind of "what percentage of chance do you think I have of getting in" was impossible. I have wanted to get into a nursing program for years. I spent 7 yrs in the military and earned a BSBA w/ a 4.0 GPA; I have maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classes I have taken at GCCC, and scored a 89.3 on the HESI exam. I just want to be a nursing student so I can learn and fulfill my dream of becoming a nurse. If anyone could provide me some insight or share your experience as to how you were accepted into the GCCC ADN program, I would be very appreciative.
Thank you,
Colleen :spin:
