Hi!
So I'm currently a student at GMU finishing up my bachelors in Developmental Psychology in 2017. I decided last summer that I really wanted to become a nurse and eventually a Nurse Practitioner. So I began taking pre requisites and I'm not very confident that I would be able to get into any ABSN programs with my grades. I also have a good job currently at VHC as a medical assistant, where I am working with RNS, LPNS, MDs, and NPs on a daily basis. I love my job and would really love to become a nurse! but I'm not sure if my experience would even help me. GMU's ABSN is my first choice because its close, and cheaper than most programs but its so competitive. I got a B- in A&P I, C in stats that I took my first year of college, A in Developmental psychology, B- in bioethics, A in nutrition, and am currently finishing A&P II where I have an A. I just would like to know if GMU looks more so at the GPA or experience, or a mix of both
