George Brown RPN Program

Hi everyone!

I applied to colleges in Toronto for the RPN program, but my top choice is George Brown. I'm a little nervous because I know how competitive it is, and I'm not sure that my grades are good enough.

Bio- 85%, Chem- 85%, English- 86%, Math- 95%.. Making my average an 88%

I applied for both the January and May start

Just wondering for students who have gotten accepted into this program - what your grades were!

same here I applied to the January of 2021 program GBC and I'm still under admission review my average is an 85%, what are the chances of me getting in. also what date was your application received

I sent my application in May 6th, but I just finished a Summer math course, so I'm waiting for them to receive that

Yes. They emailed me and said

For January 2021, we have just invited the applicants with the highest program requirement grades to the interview. These applicants had program requirement grades in the low 90s and higher. Depending on how many pass the interview, this may fill the program. We may continue to interview afterwards, to also the next applicants with the highest program requirement grades but it would be to build a waitlist if the program is already full.

Every intake is different. This January is looking unusually more competitive than other intakes.

so was this just the first wave of sending out offers, or is it enough to fill in the program. I honestly thought January was going to be less competetive than fall intake

This is first round.. they have to complete the interview first. Some people won’t pass the interview and they’ll send out a second round.
They said normally January isn’t this competitive. She said it’s “unusually competitive” this intake for some reason ?

welp the chances arent high for us then, probably because of covid, many people applied

I applied to centennial and seneca as well! And I applied for the May start at GBC too!
