Hi everybody! So I applied to 6 schools for their nursing program for fall 2015 and so far I heard back from GCC and LACC notifying me that I have been accepted to their program. I am suppose to call LACC in 24 hrs and let them know if I am keeping my seat or giving it up and I have until May 20 to accept/decline my spot at GCC. I also applied to PCC, La County, Pierce, LAVC which I am still waiting to hear back. GCC was my top choice and I'm glad I am in mostly because it is literally 5 minutes away without traffic. But I was wondering how good is GCC's program compared to LACC or PCC? If anyone went to GCC or has information about their program can you share? I know GCC has high NCLEX pass rate but so does PCC and LACC so I was just wondering which would be the best choice between GCC and LACC and PCC IF i get accepted there.

Hey congrats on getting into LACC! When did you hear from them? I haven't heard anything yet. Maybe they are going alphabetically lol.
Anyway, if the NCLEX rates are comparable for all 3, and I know all of them have the collab program with CSULA, I would choose based on how close the campus is to you. If you don't have the option of taking metro to PCC or LACC, I feel like it wouldn't be worth it to add traffic to the list of things to stress out about. Less time sitting in traffic = more time to study(or relax ). My two cents!
Hey! I heard from LACC yesterday in the morning. Did you hear back from them yet?
And I agree with you the transportation is the main thing and of course NCLEX scores matter as well and GCC has great pass rates so I made up my mind and it's GCC lol thank you for the advice!
Not yet, but that's okay, I've already confirmed my spot at SMC! So nervous and so excited!
Congratulations!!!!! :)

Thanks dreamon8. I'm curious... Do alternates attend the summer interception course in its entirety even before they know they have a permanent seat? That doesn't really seem too cool.
@sam_walsh17 In my letter it said as an alternate I would have been able to enroll in the summer intersession courses, so yes alternates attend this summer as well. If you get in then you continue in fall 2015 if not you will 100% start in spring 2016 since you have been guaranteed a seat
