Future Kaiser Students?

Hello from a new member!!! I am really enjoying browsing this board.

I know interviews started this week at Kaiser. Has anyone here interviewed? If so, how did it go? Mine is next week, I think I'm probably last. Any responses from future or current students would be great!

Thanks!

I too have an interview, mine will be on Wednesday. I hope that all goes well with your interviews. We will all do fine, just be yourself and dont show your nervousness.:imbar This board has been extremely helpful. There doesnt seem to be a lot of postings for the Kaiser NA program so I hope that of us few, we will be in the next class together.:D

from someone in the program.

I can't wait! Thanks for the great advice. I just had the worst shift ever in the ER, which really gives me the motivation to do well in the interview. I am genuinely excited!!!!

I'm a Sr at Kaiser and LOVE the program and the instructors. I have a few months to go before graduation ! If you get into the program, you won't be sorry! They are very encouraging and willing to help all students. Show enthusiasm! Be professional. Men wear suit and tie, women business attire. (Not low cut hoochie-mama dress!)

hey i like low cut hoochie mama dresses.

:D :kiss :D

Sooooo, how did the interviews go? I actually really enjoyed mine! I'm interested to know how the others went. Today is the last day, so everyone should be done. Don't be afraid to share!!! Anyhow, congtrats on being done. Hopefully we can all get some sleep now!

is the PLACE to go! They have several HMO's on Oahu, and last time I checked they had openings for CRNA's. A graduate of Kaiser would be so IN for those positions. Unfortunately, I might as well make plans for my post doctoral work at Harvard, because I think I (or my wife) would have about as much chance of being accepted there as Kaiser (based upon my impressions from this board). Does anyone know what the average GPA, and GRE scores were for the last several Kaiser classes (not to mention average level of experience)? I don't know, but would be willing to wager that they run at least a standard deviation higher than the average CRNA class at other accredidated programs. I would make me very happy to be wrong on this one.

there are a wide range of students in my class, some with one years icu exp, to 19 yrs icu.

grades 3.2 to 4.0

the most important i feel is your impression in the interview.

yes you need the minimums, but the faculty can usually pick applicants based on potential. not just paper.

My interview was today. Initially I thought that it went well. As I drove home I got more and more nervous. It was only about 10 minutes long. I was told they would take 35 students. They rank the students 1-35 and take 6 alternates. Anyone know how many interviewed?
