frequency of NCLEX

Does anyone know how often the NCLEX is given? I have to test before February 22, 2012 because in Texas they only allow you to take the NCLEX up to 4 years after you graduate. I am still waiting on the paperwork to go through from the board of nursing over to the testing center (pearson vue). Once I get my authorization to test I can test. I am getting nervous that I won't be able to sign up for a test in my area before Feb, 22nd. Does anybody know? thanks!

Im not sure about your area, but the Pearson Vue around here you can take it everyday, as long as there is a space available. I know if you are a first time taker, the will make sure you get a scheduled date in the first 30 days after you get your ATT

Well I'm testing in Oklahoma but will certified to practice in the state of Texas. I'm in the OKC area. I called pearson vue and asked them and they said they give tests everyday! I'm not able to look to see what slots are available until I get my ATT.

The NCLEX is indeed administered every day (or nearly every day--not sure how they handle holidays). On the day you want to take the test, whether there a testing center near you open and/or there is a free space is another matter.

All you can do is wait for your ATT to arrive, then log on and see what's available.
