Freakin' cold!!!

Hey all!!

Am headed to Michigan State University accelerated bachelors degree program which begins in May! (YEA!!!) Am fired up to head back up north from Missouri. Was curious if anyone has or is going thru accelerated programs right now and would LOVE feed back on things that were or are beneficial. Currently teach college (instructor in an athletic training program and teach UG nutrition course), so the experience on this end of the spectrum is hopefully a plus. Just want to hear what my electronic nurses have to say about these super fast formats!!

Thanks for the input!

Congrats! I'd planned to apply to MSU if I hadn't gotten into my first choice program.

I'm in a direct-entry program which is pretty accelerated. The first couple weeks I felt like I was doing my best just to keep up. I think that's just what you have to do. You struggle to get everything done and beat yourself up when you don't. And then at some point you learn that some things are more important than others and you start to prioritize. Unfortunately I think it takes a few weeks of getting to know your professors, getting to know what the classes require, etc., to do that. So there's really no short cut. But at least knowing that it will get better helps.

I know this isn't really helpful, but I did want to at least congratulate you and wish you the best of luck. It's a blast, so take some time to stop and enjoy the journey because it flies!

thanks a ton--actually any input is helpful. I think a good deal of comfort comes in knowing that there are others that take the "sink or swim" approach and "keep strokin" so to speak. Appreciate the congrats and hope to learn the profs quick as I understand how learning instructor styles is just as much a part of doing well in a class as actually doing well in a class is (confusing huh?)

Best of luck to you as well!
