I am a relatively new nurse, almost barely 1 year that I have been a nurse. My goal is to work in forensic nursing, but since it's still a relatively new field I can't find definite answers on how you go about doing that. I know there are master's programs that you can get in forensic nursing and I'm definitely going to do that. I want to wait another year or so, so that I can gain more experience as a nurse, but what are some options out there to go about making a career in forensic nursing? Any advice would be helpful, I just want to know what I can do to start working on my goal.
