For Those With Interviews

Hey itsthegreeneyes it's me from CSUEB (also with no job), hows it goin'? I have an interview next month at Napa State Hospital. I mailed my application directly to the hospital and got a letter 2 weeks later with an interview date- it's actually just a preliminary interview (qualified appraisal panel- QAP). They interview on an ongoing basis. Depending on your interview success they place you on an eligibility list and then you can apply for an open position assuming that one opens up soon. The DON told me that they don't have any open positions right now but your name stays on the list for a year and when a position opens you can apply. Arrggg! Apparently Coalinga has many vacancies and no waiting if you can stand that environment. Again, you have to send a paper application directly there-download it at dmh.ca.gov, I wouldn't trust the online application process. The cutoff for the next batch of applicants for them is April 1 so I would send it ASAP if you're interested. I haven't heard about needing to take an online test. Do you still have my email 'cause I can't PM and I don't have yours? I feel your frustration girl this is crazy! Someone please hire us:D

I was trying for like Fairfield, Vacaville, or maybe even San Quentin. I'm interested how it goes so let me know. Have you tried Contra Costa County. They say they ar hiring and application is pretty simple (I just turned mine in this week). I have all the info so let me know if you are interested.

Yup, it's me. I still have the CSU email but I don't have yours so send it to me if you can. Thanks for the lead on the cc county job. That would be a great opportunity. I don't know about the other correctional facilities- I did apply to the Vacaville psych program 3+ weeks ago and never heard back. Let me know how your search is going (other than entirely frustrating!) . Are you thinking about relocating? maybe see you at the Sac. job Fair on the 9th???
