Taking FNP boards in 16 days. Have used the Fitzgerald course, Hollier & Leik book. Going back & reviewing pharm & assessment books. What other suggestions do you have??? Freaking out!!!!!!!

Not sure if you are taking ancc or aanp. I took ancc fnp boards on 10/5 and it was not nearly as bad as i thought it would be. The anticipation was by far the worst part. I did the fitzgerald cds with work book, the fitzgerald review book, and the leik book. I felt this provided me with a very well rounded review for all areas on the test. There were not many questions that i felt lost on. The non-clinical questions (that many freak out about) are fairly straight forward and the section in the back of leik that focused on this was very, very helpful. I started studying part time about 5 weeks prior but serious studying the week before.

If you are taking aanp im afraid i cant help you, however a few of my schoolmates said it was much like the hesi fnp exam and of course mostly clinical questions.

Remember to try to stay calm, practice your breathing, and take a break if needed. Remember this is an entry-level exam. You know this stuff. Good luck!

Just took the exam on AANP website. Scored 62% & they say 66% is passing....GRRRRR!!!!

RNOB did you retest yet?

Ashlee2225....I haven't. Honestly, afraid to try again. Obviously I will because it was too much work to get to where I'm at & not but scared of failing again. My job has been waiting on me for the last year. It was created for me which I feel adds extra pressure. Just finished my 15 CE hours & haven't gotten the paperwork in the mail from my first test yet. Have you tested already?

Just received my official AANP results today. Scored a 487 on the exam...GRRR...500 is passing. SOOO close!

RNOB- I have not re-tested either, just took the exam on Monday for the first time. How long did it take for your results to come in the mail? Did you take a review course for your 15ceus or just buy them online? I'm debating a class, but would like to see how close I was to passing first. I'm terrified to test....as I have to pass this time. I also have a job waiting for me, as well as we bought a new house thinking of my pay raise.....and did I mention I just had a baby as well. Way to much pressure. We go to school for years, got straight As, but can't pass a darn 150 question exam.

do you remember what was on your exam? Maybe we can somehow e-mail. Or talk back and fourth on how we can pass this together!!
