Flu shot shortage

I work in an outpatient oncology clinic that treats about 55-65 patients a day in our infusion room. Our Oncology Pharmacist has been trying since March to order a supply of flu shots for this fall and winter. The last he heard, we wouldn't be getting any until at least December, maybe later. I don't understand why most PCPs have had their flu shot supply for weeks, but even with all the immuno-compromised and neutropenic patients we see, we are not a priority. They are giving flu shot clinics at 2 of the large grocery stores in my city for $5 a piece, so we're advising our patients to go there if they have to. It doesn't make any sense! Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
