Finding Job

I am having a hard time finding a job on a med surg floor or any unit for that matter. I graduated with a BSN in Dec 07 i applied to all the major hospitals in the traingle area and all of them gave me the same story sorry you dont have any medical experience so I assumed they meant as a cna. So I took a job at Dorothea Dix worked on the geriatric unit now I work on the medical unit. I still get the same story no experience. I try to apply for new grad positions that require no expereience but they dont want to even give me an interview. Can anyone give me any advice I am eager to learn more I just need the chance to.

    No, they meant as an RN. Major hospitials hire new grads differently than they hire experienced RNs.

    But since you say you have some RN experience, you should qualify for any Med Surg Position. Sadly, there are lots of RNs out there with experience that are looking for work too.
