Discussion

this field is amazing

hi all,

i will be attending ns hopefully soon, and after reading some of this posts know my calling is Neonatal. To me its sooo rewarding to have a preemie so sick then to see them go home with their family. that is the essence of being a nurse! (to me at least) I am even more excited now. I can wait! I originally thought I wanted OR because I love watching surgeries but NICU is calling me! I have 2 beautiful kids at home and have decided not to have anymore so i can persue my nursing career (selfish??) so if I can make a difference in a baby's and family's lives I will know that i made the right choice and will be a great nurse. Sorry, just wanted to share my epiphany.
