Failed NCLEX

So I just wanted to share my story. I graduated from nursing school in May of 2017. I signed up to take the NCLEX-PN in August. I used Saunders and just read over my school sources. Went in and took the test, had to answer all 205 and failed. I was so depressed, but have an amazing husband and family backing me up saying it was okay and just take it again. I did some research and bought the PDA book, which really helped me with priority questions. I signed up to test again in November of 2017. Again I had to take all 205 questions and failed once again. I was so upset with myself and couldn't understand why I was struggling. I did pretty well I school, made all A's and B's in the nursing program. I took sometime to re-evaluate and then had some serious family issues I had to deal with so I put NCLEX on the back burner. A few months went by and I bought the Hurst Review in May 2018. I listened to all the lectures, did the 4 Q review and then did the customized quizzes by each subject everyday for like 2 months. I signed up to take my test and on last Wednesday I went into the testing center more confident than the other two times and started my test. It felt like I was doing good, but the computer never turned off. I had to do all 205 questions again and left there really not sure how to feel. I had been in this boat twice already and both times the results were awful. As I sat in my car after the test I was reviewing the questions and felt confident that I had answered better this time. I went home and freaked out all night long. I gave myself the weekend to calm down and spend good quality time with my husband and friends and tried to forget how crappy I was feeling over testing. Well today I went ahead and bought my quick results and figured out I PASSED! I was so shocked, I really felt like it could have gone either way, but am just so excited that after a year of being out of school I passed. I think the HURST was a huge success for me! I loved the Q review. Never give up on your dreams! And it totally recommend the HURST review!

You'll do great. Just stay calm and no matter how many questions you get it's okay. We had a rep come in during school and gave us a review for the hesi/nclex and the most important thing she said that always stuck with me was "No matter how many questions you have to answer, just keep you head in the game." The last 20 questions of the 200 can make or break you. Don't let yourself get upset because you never know how close you are to passing. Good luck!!
