I'm a nursing student at an accelerated program and it took me a while to get here. Honestly, the school isn't rlly all that reputable, it's still new and figuring out stuff. I wanted to know if there are any extracurriculars I should do to help my chances of getting a job in the future/applying to NP programs when I graduate.
Since my school is a small private and is just starting (our BSN program only has about 6 cohorts so far), we don't have any teams for sports or clubs or sororities. I want to become a psychiatric nurse or ED or ICU nurse and wanted to know what leadership roles or organizations I can take up. I do not want to work as a CNA or a job right now as this school is rigid, creates schedules for us without consulting us, and is unaccommodating. We have 10 weeks of school and 1-2 weeks break in between each quarter. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
