Excited about Dameron!

..so my interview at Dameron Hospital went well and it looks like I'll be called back for a second round of interviews next week. I found out that they want a 3 year commitment if I get hired. It was a quick greet and meet kind of a meeting so I was hoping if there was someone out there that can solidy what 3 year commitment mean? Am I legally and contractually bound?

:nurse:

You are not legally bound to a 3 yr commitment, as it violates the ethics of the Versant residency program. According to a Versant representative named Kristi, nurse retention is a "goal" of Versant, but obligating nurses to a contract is not the way to achieve it. Versant has made it clear they do not stand by this method. As to getting out of the contract, that will need to be discussed between you and the hospital, but I don't believe you are legally bound.
