Excelsior CT

Hi,

Any Excelsior grads in CT? I'm currently working as a CNA in LTC and will be graduating my LPN program in December 2016 in CT. I'm considering doing the Excelsior LPN to RN route after I graduate. This way I could work full time while doing school at my own pace. Plus, the LPN to RN bridge programs are so hard to get into around here. I've gotten a lot of mixed reviews online but there are a lot of people who swear by Excelsior. Will it be difficult to find a job as an Excelsior grad RN? And will it be difficult to get into an RN-BSN program? I plan on pretty much immediately enrolling into a BSN program. Preferably CCSU. I have pretty much all of my gen eds done already.

I graduated from EC in March, 2015. I took the boards on Friday May 22nd and had my results posted to the Florida Board of nursing by Wednesday. The next day at work I was given a promotion and bump in pay. There are several online colleges that you can enroll in afterwards for your BSN or you can go to EC. EC is accredited and accepted in all states except California.

That's encouraging. Thank you! I know how hard it can be to find a job sometimes. I've heard EC is a great school and just hope that employers take it seriously even though it is online.
